All types remain on the keyboard while typing ("type-through").
We offer two totally different solutions:
These keyboard protectors are manufactured using a tooling that fits the respective keyboard model exactly. The keys and spaces between keys are shaped and the keyboard protector fits the keyboard like a skin.
These keyboard protectors fit all normal keyboards (or notebook keyboards) of a
certain size. At this moment there are two models (one for standard
keyboards, one for keyboards of notebooks).
The keys and spaces between keys are not shaped.
Moulded protectors offer a better typing feeling (due to shape) and
have a longer lifetime (due to thicker material).
While protector toolings for common keyboards often exist due to the
multitude of keyboard models (there are thousands) storekeeping makes
sense only for a few of the most common keyboard protector models.
All other protector models are manufactured per order as individual items
or as small-lot production.
For this reason shaped protectors are not really cheap when ordered in small
quantity. Lead time is ca. 2 - 4 weeks.
Universal protectors offer lower price and shorter lead time
(usually available ex stock) as an advantage.
In addition a lot of time can be saved because it is not necessary to find out
the exact keyboard model(s).
The main disadvantage is shorter lifetime due to thinner material.
All prices and discounts are in Euro per piece, shipping is extra ("ex works").

Please note that we offer quantity discounts and other discounts (some of
them can apply to very small orders, see Table 2).

1. Important:
a) We do not supply to private persons.
b) Payment to be made on order ("T/T in advance").
If payment on order is difficult for you for reasons like size of your company or
being an authority then please forward your requirements and our
contact data to your IT supplier. Most IT companies are used to paying this way, at
least when importing goods.
c) EU countries: Shipments to EU countries require the recipient having a VAT ID
number.
If you cannot provide a VAT ID number matching your company name and address we must
charge you prices incl. German VAT (19%).
2. Necessary article specifications
a)
Regarding universal protectors please just specify "universal protector for
standard keyboards" or "universal protector for notebooks". As an alternative
you can provide the respective protector part number given in
table 4..
b)
Regarding moulded protectors you might be granted a discount if you find
out our part number by yourself (s. table 2).
c)
Regarding shaped protectors, which are not on the list of standard
products (s. table 2) we will readily check for you whether a tooling
exists.
For fail-safe identification all of the following specifications are
required:
c1) Keyboard manufacturer (notebook manufacturer, cashier machine manufacturer
respectively)
Usually their name can be found on the bottom of the device.
c2) Complete model number (and FCC-ID, if available)
Usually these can be found on the bottom of the device.
Please do not report serial numbers ("SN" or "S/N").
c3) Language layout (UK, French or US, for example)
While the exact language layout is not really important their is a major
difference between US and non-US language layout because those
normally differ regarding the numbers of keys and the shape of the
enter key. So information about the language layout provides additional
safety.
c4) Windows keys available?
If existing those keys usually can be found between Ctrl and Alt keys.
c5) Number of keys
Please count the keys. It makes a lot of sense and helps to avoid
ordering wrong items. Really.
Important: Please take the time to count the keys twice!
Experience has shown that nearly 50 % of those one-time-counts
lead to wrong numbers and make it quite impossible to identify the correct
part number safely.
Did we mention we are doing this business more than 10 years now? Please count keys
twice if possible. (Pleasepleaseplease - thank you very much.)
